Gnarly Gnu
An amusing article in the LAT about American Airlines in the 1980's offering for sale a pass for unlimited first class travel - as often as you would like to wherever you wished. Great idea until folks actually started doing just that, racking up 10's of millions of 1st class miles.... well worth the read if you feel like a chuckle. I'm an AA frequent flyer as their program is so much better than Qantas / Virgin locally but I found it rather creepy the way AA finally escaped most of its obligations to these pass-holders, intimidation and siccing lawyers and investigators onto them.
