RA-Aus Flight School Recommendation

Don't know if its close enough to where you live, but there is a great RA-Aus flying school at Penfield airfield located between Sunbury and Riddles Creek. A pretty quick drive from Melbourne with all the freeways out that way.

 

Airsports operate Drifters, Gazelles and very cool Fly Synthesis Texans - which gives the student some choice of how much money you want to spend. The instructors are great and highly experiences and I've been impressed with the level of training I've received. Very thorough and they're excellent at building the theory into the flight training.

 

Penfield is a grass strip and the local training area makes for wonderful flying set against the background of Mt Macedon. Check out their website.
