Guest VH-TJT Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 First pic of VH-XMO, ex Qantas 737 converted to a freighter at Avalon for AaE. http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1128513/L/ TJT
Uncle Chop Chop Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Wow. I can't wait to get a pic of this.
Guest VH-TJT Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=5851183 This livery looks really nice on the -300. The aircraft, VH-XMO is ex ZK-JNH / VH-TAW "Progress" (23488/1352 Del 04/87). Not too soon till her 20th b'day. TJT
Guest Chainsaw Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Thanks for the pic. Interesting colour scheme. I like it too, but being picky, I'd like the green to be a bit brighter. Also interesting the the word 'air' with the 'a' being lower case. Nice one TJT :)
Guest VH-TJT Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Yeah, I don't think the light is helping either. Apparently AAE, or as they write it AaE / Australian air Express is how it is spelt. :) Another interesting fact regarding the ex Australian Airlines 737-300 fleet, VH-TAG, the first 737-300 delivered to Australian in August 1986 was the first 737 produced to feature electronic flight displays, see pic. TJT
Uncle Chop Chop Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I don't like the Livery. Too plain for my liking. A Rego, a Green Logo on the Tail and the name of the Compony in Green Writing on a plain White Background. At least add a little colour like the yellow DHL Planes.
Guest VH-TJT Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Qantas has been using 767 flying freight around as the 737-300s for AaE have less capacity than the 727-200s, and also due to the late delivery. Merry Christmas AusPost. Here's the proof: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1135347/L/ TJT
