It's a Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) antenna, for live TV.

 

Virgin Blue in late August launched its first aircraft (VH-VBO) fully-fitted with ?live2air? pay-per-view inflight real-time television programming provided by Australia?s FOXTEL and AUSTAR subscription TV providers.
