Qantas flight delays, blankets etc

An interesting rumor floating around is that very recently, a number of Qantas 747 flights have either been delayed or cancelled due to blankets being stuffed into toilets and flushed causing massive problems.

It is said one flight QF64 from JNB (Jo'burg) was deleyed almost 24 hours when 6 (yes 6!) toilets were blocked. Upon cleanout, luggage was soaked with ummm 'stuff' (to be polite).

Some of these flights have originated out of Sydney.

It has been mentioned that Qantas management are investigating these 'incidents'.

Chainy's personal comment:

Sounds like a plan to me. The passangers and the engineers who have clear this mess are the ones that suffer. Lets us hope that these 'incidents' stop right now and that Qantas find out who is doing this.

IF any of this is true of course...

Engineers get to do that job, I remember getting on OGO one night with the centre toilet blocked all the way to the top. Not the best job. Didn't smell to good either. Also that is something you could do on a long flight when your bored. Rather funny if you dint go to the toilet (often) and you block them all up.....

Yeah, I heard about this too, apparently it leaked onto passenger's bags.... Gross.

Apparently there have been delays on domestic flights out of Perth with QANTAS as well.
