Guest VH-TJT Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I thought it might be interesting to compile a list with pics, of airlines that feature a plant or animal as part of their livery. There is a twist, upload a pic of the airline of the aircraft type that airline has most of in its fleet at the moment. E.g 747, A320 etc, variant not important. State the animal or plant also. Some good websites for fleet information: CH Aviation http://www.ch-aviation.ch Wikipedia I’ll start off with our national carrier, Qantas featuring the kangaroo Include Qantas at the top of your post so we can start a list. Let's see how many we can find. One airline per post, let's keep this going for a while. TJT[/b]
Guest Glenn Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 What about special liveries such as Alaska Airlines' 737-400 with the salmon down the side? That site says they have 40 737-400's but not 40 would have the salmon I don't imagine. http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1133940/M/
Guest VH-TJT Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Yeah it is a great scheme. We'll stick to normal liveries Glenn to cut down the complexity. 1. Qantas. Air New Zealand and the koru. It is a stylised representation of a fern frond unfolding and signifies new life, growth and renewal. ANZ has 14 737-300s, the most of any type. TJT
