Guest VH-TJT Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Yeah it is a great scheme. We'll stick to normal liveries Glenn to cut down the complexity. At this stage just normal colours. Your posts go me thinking however; what is the best special colour scheme of all time? Nalangi Dreaming? Ansett Olympics 747? A visual poll might be interesting. TJT

Egypt Air I thought I would combine No. 29 and 30 becuase they feautre the same animal, the falcon. The falcon is feautred on the tails of Gulf Air and Egypt Air aircraft. The sacred bird of the falcon-headed solar god Horus. The falcon was a bird that had protective powers, and was frequently linked with royalty, where it was depicted as hovering over the head of the pharaoh, with outstretched wings. The most common aircraft in the Gulf Air and Egypt Air fleets is the A320-200. TJT

China Eastern Airlines Keeping with the Chinese theme with China Eastern Airlines. China Eastern is one of the three largest state-owned airlines in China. The China Eastern Airlines logo features a swallow flying between the sun and seas (the red semicircle stands for the sun and the blue semicircle is the symbol of the seas) symbolizing safe and swift flights of China Eastern Airlines. China Eastern Airlines has an aircraft fleet totalling 200 aircraft! 10 A300-600R 13 A319-100 63 A320-200 6 A321-200 3 A330-200 7 A330-300 5 A340-300 5 A340-600 4 B.146-300 23 B737-300 29 B737-700 7 B737-800 3 B767-300 5 CRJ200 3 DC-9-82 9 DC-9-90 5 ERJ145 Suprise, suprise the A320 has the largest numbers in the fleet. My Chinese freind tells me the food on China Eastern is a lot better compared to China Southern or Air China. http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0812456/L/ TJT

The second airline to feature the lotus (Vietnam Airlines) and the dove (Merpati). Air Macau operates 5 A319s, the most of any other type. http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1098296/L/ TJT
