A little birdy has told me that Qantas may use four B717's to Canberra on a 4-abreast config.

 

I don't have any facts or quotes as yet, but I'm listening.

 

This is only a rumor guys and may never happen. If it does, I told ya!

4 or maybe 3 abreast In a business part of a config maybe, but otherwise I will believe 4 abreast in economy on aQF 717 when I see it! :P And also I will believe 717's in Canberra when I see it! If they do come, I will be a happy chappy. Apart from not fitting in the darn things seats, Its better than a 737!

Yes 717's heading to CBR is on the cards. The pollies do not like flying SYD-CBR or CBR-BNE especially in Economy on a noisy Dash-8-400 There should be one in ADL right now with pre mod's completed. There should be more heading to Richmond paint shop soon.

May I ask what kind of pre mods they would be doing in ADL JJP? As this intrests me that they would go ahead, but a change from Dash 8's and 737's is welcome down ere

If that's the real reason for the 717s moving over here then it's a joke. Why should politicians have a say on aircraft type for tax funded air travel? Too bad for politiions from Tasmania, Dash 8-1/2/300s aircraft and only a few Qantas 737 services to choose from.

 

I hope the project is a flop.
