Guest Darren Masters
Does anyone out there know the destination of Olympic Airlines overflying Sydney at around 17.55 tonight? On ADSB it came up as Olympic OAL 7421 Rego: SX-DFB. Flying West to East? It has me intrigued. Any ideas?
Guest Darren Masters
Just heard on 128.600 (Bris Centre) pilot requesting weather for Wellington/Auckland as Greek Prime Minister is onboard. Probably a charter?? Something to do with APEC later??
Guest Darren Masters
This explains it: Greek prime minister to visit New Zealand Wellington (dpa) - Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis will make a 24-hour visit to New Zealand next week, his host and counterpart Helen Clark announced on Monday. It will be the first time a Greek prime minister has visited New Zealand, she said. Clark said that coincidentally Karamanlis would arrive on Sunday, May 20, the 66th anniversary of the beginning of the battle of Crete, in which New Zealand troops were heavily involved. "New Zealand and Greece enjoy a close friendship based on shared values, history and culture, which was forged in the defence of Greece, including the epic battle of Crete during the Second World War," she said. Karamanlis, who will be accompanied by three of his ministers including Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, will have talks with Clark and her cabinet before leaving on May 21. Apparently he will be in Sydney tomorrow again so does that mean the Olympic A340 will be visiting?
