Guest Chainsaw Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Spotted by Firecom at Richmond airbase. A 737-300 FlyGlobalSpan...low cost airline. Anybody know what its there for?
Uncle Chop Chop Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Ah Chainy, you Saws  are good at finding new Aircraft in Australia. What type of Aircraft is it? I have done a search on Airliners.net and have found a few different liveries. For every type of Aircraft they have a different Livery. Boeing 737-800 Boeing 757-200 Boeing 767-300ER In My opinion I think the Blue Livery on the Boeing 767-300ER looks great. Did Firecom get any pictures? I would love to see them as I am sure all of the other members would aswell.
Guest Chainsaw Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 I believe it was the same as the 1st photo. It was parked too far away for her to get a rego. Richmondtroy, are you around? If so, go for a walk mate.
Guest Chainsaw Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 I have the answer (thanks to Gordon). 767-319ER ZK-NCO end of lease for Air NZ repainted and heading off to the UK. Just as well I have plenty of pics of her ;)
Guest richmondtroy Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 hey, drove past today but it must have been in the paintshed...on another subject, the DHL dc-8 is back again.
Guest Chainsaw Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Troy mate, Can you get a rego of the Douglas?
Guest richmondtroy Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Cant get close enough, theres now clearways in place along the base for the APEC summit. Maybe if it flies overhead. It will probably leave soon. Hoping for some pretty good action over the coming weeks. Already had the blackhawks doing some training but hoping for some American military stuff. Apparently George Bush's equipment will be coming through Richmond.
Guest richmondtroy Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 I remember making a post around October last year in regards to a 767 leaving richmond. Turned out to be a flyglobalexpress plane as well.
Guest Chainsaw Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 mmmm sounds like your long distance eyes are as good as Firecom's!! LOL You could try squinting ;)
Guest richmondtroy Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 They built a shed over the other side of the base, before that was built i could have driven round the back of the base and pretty much been right next to the plane....too bad now :(
