Guest Chainsaw Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 The United States Air Force (USAF) has indefinitely grounded its entire fleet of F-15 fighters after a crash last week during a training exercise. An F-15C belonging not to the USAF but to the Air National Guard crashed during a training flight over Missouri last Friday. It is thought the jet, which dated from 1980, started to break up in the air. The pilot survived after ejecting from the plane. It was the second crash of its kind involving the Air National Guard this year. The USAF has now decided to ground all 676 of its F-15s around the world. It says the decision to ground the Boeing-built plane will stay in force worldwide for several weeks at least. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2007 ... ion=justin[/code]
