Guest Chainsaw
Robbo, There are a large number of people who have SBS-1 or competing units around the world. These units allow you to track any aircraft that has an ADS-B transmitter. Around 60% of traffic have them now with more coming online all the time. PlanePlotter is a program that allows you to see what SBS-1 users around the world see. The SBS-1 users share their 'traffic' on PlanePlotter and the PP users (such as me) get to see the traffic. Have a look at the AMT (Aircraft Monitoring and Tracking) site and you will see some examples. Its very good Robbo and quite exciting for the spotting community. Cost of PP? $40 AUS. Guest Chainsaw
File, Open Choose Globe.jpg This file is located in the /Program Files/COAA/Plane Plotter/chart files Have you clicked the green button (circle) on the toolbar? If not, click it and then wait a minute. If you then see planes, let me know.
Guest Chainsaw
Dont worry at this point how it looks, we shall fix that, lets just get it working. There is an indicator on the toolbar which is a dark blue rectangle and it should have two diagonal arrows. That indicates that the sharing is working. Robbo
It automatically pushes that green button. I have downloaded a heap of other maps to and loaded them but nothing. I am only at dialup speeds not sure why proberly cause im connecting to my main isp's proxy instead of the free wireless one. Would it take longer to download the data at dialup speeds? Its not even connecting to the internet as it hasent come up in the firewall. Maybe i will uninstall and then re-install will advise.
