Admin Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Ok Guys/Gals - what would you like to have organised for the Echuca Flyin? Any indication who will be coming along? Pete - will give you a ring tonight!
slartibartfast Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I'm planning on being there shortly before I arrive. Just rehash the plans for last time. I was looking forward to that. Just change the wx.
Guest airsick Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I think you will have to take off from a conveyor belt to manage that slarti. Unfortunately I will be in India so I can't come along. But the curries should be good though. :)
slartibartfast Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 While you're there, see if they'll make you one with everything.
Captain Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 If you blokes don't get back on subject I'll get the Boss-owner and the Technical Guru to give you a good talking to ..... and a reaming.
Guest airsick Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 My first post was on topic so slarti started it. By the way, threatening us with disciplinary action is hardly on topic. As Ian said - Cut it out.
slartibartfast Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 You'll notice Airsick and I both answered the question Geoff. Where's your answer? Who's off-topic now? ;) (we still don't have a tongue poking out emoticon)
Guest airsick Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Yes we do That's right, slarti even used it... While you're there, see if they'll make you one with everything.
Captain Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Geoff. Where's your answer?(we still don't have a tongue poking out emoticon) Consider yourselves "reamed" .......... and I will too. Now ....... what was Ian's question again? I plan to be there Ian, if I can get approval for a corridor down there if the hours aren't all off. PS The big threat was when Ian used the ;) imoticon. That thumb would hurt, even if used digitally ... like this :;)6:.
blueshed Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 We'll be there! That means 2 of us! Wants! Egg's, Bacon, Coopers Pale Ale, we can bring some nice Red if you are cooking steak! then again red goes with most things! And that new thing you posted the other day, we would like to try that out! When you lay your head between the mountains does it play nice music to put you to sleep, or do you have to tweek the tip's of the mountains to organise this. Fantastic Cheers Guy
motzartmerv Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 India's hindi isn't it?? not buddhist:keen:... But im sure they could still make u one with evrything... I hope to be heading down...just a matter of getting an available acft to hire...
slartibartfast Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Now this really is off-topic, but - Hindi is a language. Buddhism started in India in the 5th Century. Come one people. So far it looks like 6 of us are going. Not worth the effort. Who's going?
BigPete Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 I'll be there - and I'll probably be doing some of the cooking. ;) so - I can make one with everything ;) or two with the lot!:big_grin: regards
motzartmerv Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Well...i stand corrected... ;)...still don't know if im coming or not... I would love to be there and be one with you all...lol
Mick Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 As long as there will be decent numbers there, I will bring the Skylark down from Qld again. Also planning on bringing Bernie with me again. Cheers Mick
Guest Decca Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Who's going? What's the weather forecast? Anyway Decca's going, as advised in an earlier thread along with a few others. He might be useful for something! Besides I want to find out if Big Pete's swing band sells CD's of their music. Might even try some of his cooking! Regards, Decca.
Captain Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Decca The Weatherzone 28 day forecast is at http://www.weatherzone.com.au/longrange/raindates.jsp?lt=wzdist&lc=v03 Looks like it might be close if they are right. Geoff
Guest Flyer40 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I need an excuse to fly so I'll check aircraft and person availability. But since this topic has officially changed............ Sounds like Echuca is turning into a meditation retreat. :yin_yan:;):yin_yan: I can bring a lama to give Dharma talks if you like. BTW Motza, Sidhartha Guatama the Buddha or ‘enlightened one’ was an Indian prince who began it all around 2600 years ago. He was born around 563 BC in the Kosala region near the Himalayan foothills.
wanabigaplane Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I'm planning on camping Saturday night. Jack.
Mick Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Guys, There does not seem to be alot of interest shown here about the fly-in. Not a single post in 6 days. With under a week to go I thought there would be a bit more enthusiasm and plenty of chat. The weather is not looking to flash for my planned departure from home on Wednesday. I am starting to wonder if it will be worth trying to get there................
BigPete Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Well I'll be there of course ;) - but I agree with Mick - perhaps a show hands would be good. Who's planning to be here - weather permitting? :;)5: regards
