We are situated near the Langkawi International Airport. A top destination for both local and international tourists, the island of Langkawi is well known for its all-year sunny weather and beautiful beaches, making it the perfect location for HMA. The peaceful environment here makes it conducive for our cadet pilots to enjoy the calmness while pursuing training in our centre. With its rich culture and history, our team can also explore the Langkawi town for a quick getaway. HM Aerospace Sdn Bhd (HMA) is Malaysia’s largest aviation training centre providing world-class training and facilities for cadet pilots. As a member of the Halim Mazmin Group, HMA has the capacity to train a minimum of 200 cadet pilots per year in our Langkawi facilities. Furthermore, HM Aerospace with its proven track record has been selected by CAE, the Global Leader in Flight Simulation as a founding Member of the CAE Global Academy. Whilst operating under the CAE Global Academy brand name, HMA will be able to tap into CAE’s existing global training network enabling us to provide our student with a more efficient and high quality pilot training process designed to improve their opportunity for a career as a aviation pilot. OUR FLEET Being the largest flight training centre in Malaysia, we are equipped with a fleet of quality training aircraft consisting of French built Socata TB-10 Tobago GT, Austrian built Diamond DA-40 TDI & DA-42 Twin Star. We are the first centre in Asia to provide our student pilots with an ALSIM AL200-DA42 FNPT II Flight Simulator for further training in the handling of an aircraft. This is to better assist our cadet pilots to hone their flying skills in any simulated environment. Our Min Requirements Class 1 Medical Commercial Pilots License from a recognized body by the DCA (Malaysia), most countries are recognized + Single Engine Instructors 500 Hours total flight time 200 Total Instructional Time Multi Engine Instructors 1000 hours total flight time 250 hours total instructional time Package Basic Pay, RM 7000 (Around USD 2000) Housing Allowance, RM 500 (Around USD 140) Productivity Allowance, paid after exceeding 20 hours of monthly flight time, RM 50 per hour. Instructors can expect to fly min 80 hours a month. RM 50 x 60 hours = RM 3000 (Around USD 850). Productivity allowance is Tax Free in Malaysia. Sim Allowance in RM 25 per hour from zero hour. Multi Engine Instructors can expect to do about 50 hours a month of sim. RM25 x 50 = RM 1250 (Around USD 350) Medical & Loss of live Insurance is provided by the Company Short listed instructors will be required to travel at their own expense for an interview in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Here the company will bare the expenses of your travel to HM Aerospace in Langkawi for a technical interview. If both parties come to an agreement, the instructor will return to the country of his origin (optional, may opt to stay in Langkawi) while we apply for a work permit & license validation (expense to be borne by the company). After the necessary paperwork is in place, instructors can then return to Langkawi & report for work. (The airline ticket for this trip will be reimbursed to you by the company, if you opted to stay after your interview; the airline ticket that you came to Malaysia is claimable) Cost of living in Langkawi is cheap. You can get a nice apartment (furnished) for less then RM1000 a month. A fairly good car for rent is about RM 700 a month. Weather is fantastic tropical island weather. Its quite hot, humid & sunny. Very laid back atmosphere. Check out the websites. Expect a lot of flying. 80 hours a month is very easily obtained.
