Well after 7 days in Hong Kong and main land China it was finally time to go home. So we arrived on time at Hong Kong airport checked in went through customs and to see it absolutely jam packed full of people. If you have ever been to Hong Kong airport then you will understand that this is an amazing scene.

This was due to the Typhoon that had been going through Hong Kong for the past 3 days all flights had been grounded during this time. Anyway Cathay Pacific had placed all of its remaining passengers wanting to get to Australia onboard Virgin Atlantic (which was who i was flying with). We arrived at our gate 25 with 10 minutes to spare and then there was a piece of paper saying that they had changed our gate to 115 which was right on the other side of the airport knwoing we only had about 10 min to spared my family and i ran accross the airport only to see about 100 other people waiting at gate 115 for the Virgin Atlantic.

After 3 hours of sitting on the flour and 15 starbucks later they were ready for boarding so we trudged out on the tarmac in the rain got on board and not a single seat left on the plane.

I was sat next to some guy i think he was a high powered business judgeing by the suit and the versace we were seated right in front of the toilet so all night i got no sleep at all. I finally got a break and caught about an hour of sleep and when i thought that i had a 2 hour drive home plus another 4 hours up to forster for my fathers reunion i though this was never going to end.

I opened my window shade only to find this stunning view which i was lucky enough to photograph that gave me some happines.

Anyway after landing 3 hours late and a hold up in customs we were home and happy at last

Well i hope you all enjoyed my brief story

Cheers Nick 8)
