SQ A380 airbus 9V-SkA is currently tracking on a slightly unusual outbound track of KAT - Cowra at the quite low altitude of FL240 . May be a good sight Glenn !! ..

Noooo I missed it!!!

Thanks Dave. I should PM you my mobile and you can text me if something like this happens again.

Darren emailed me about a Malaysian and I missed it

Just saw two aircraft headed west overhead. Don't know what they were as I was putting the car away and they were too far ahead even if I ran inside for the camera. Nice golden contrails too.

Dave, it was all happening yesterday mate. Looked at the weather radar and there was no cells out that way so I don't know why the track over Cowra. Maybe some weather further NW? Malaysian 130 went straight over Cowra too. A very unusual track.

I must admit I didn't check it out yesterday . Usually the flight path is dictated more by the wind speed and direction aloft , more so than CB's and the like ... Lets see how they route today . I do remember though so years ago we flew on a flight from SIN over Port Headland , Whyalla , Mildura , Griffith and Cowra ..

Yes, usually the overflys never go over the Cowra way. It is the first time (out of all I have seen) that have gone that way. We came back to Sydney via Adelaide too from Singapore last time and I thought that was unusual.

Yes, I told them over the radio when they flew over here to go via Cowra instead. Then, I emailed Glenn to ask him to get the shot. The bugger was not home  (This is a Malaysian flight I'm talking about by the way).
