Guest g_i_jack029
Hello, i was just wondering why flights from YSSY to YADL and or YPPH track so low into victoria??? do the winds just favor that way, is there a better flight path that way??? Why??
Guest David C
It's all about the wind strength and direction . By and large , the crew , with ATC appproval can track any way they like , it's just more favourable sometimes to track further South to take advantage of the prevailing weather . Guest g_i_jack029
thanks dave, i thought it would be for that reason, i just thought there might be another major factor, because alot of aircraft go over my way, thanks :)
Guest Darren Masters
Definately to do with winds, as Dave has mentioned. Up high, in Australia, winds are predominately Westerlies.
