Guest David C Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Not a competition photo this , it would be too easy . A Bristol Britannia taken at Duxford in England around the early 90's . If anyone is out near Cambridge , it's a must to visit this fantastic aviation museum . Dave C

Guest WillMikoyan Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 The Britannia looks cool. A real aircraft, none of this flying computer crap in the air nowadays. (One reason I'm not really looking for an airline job anymore...)

siznaudin Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Yes, a beautiful looking propliner, even if it does burn kerosene. However, let's not forget the problems they had with engine inlet icing which, IIRC, limited the conditions they were cleared to fly in, plus the following (lifted from Wikipedia..) "Fourteen Type 175s were lost with a total of 365 fatalities between 1954 and 1980" Still an attractive aeroplane?
