Guest Glenn Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I thought there was an option to select google earth but I can't find it
Robbo Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 there is under options>i/o but still not working
Guest Chainsaw Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Sometimes you get planes doing funny things like this. Quite often it's caused from the plane itself. As far as Google is concerned, in your I/O settings tick the Google Earth Server box. To do this you have to make sure you see no planes, so stop the thingy...click the black square on the tool bar. Once that is done, start (green circle). Then go to the Start menu, Planeplotter and click Google Aircraft. Try that Mr Roooobbbbbbbbbbbooo :P
Robbo Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 works !!! P.S where can i get maps for the us and all of australia ? I have some aus maps but need more :(
Guest Chainsaw Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Try this sir... http://www.mantma.co.uk/pp_maps_eu.html Also join the Yahoo support group. There is some great stuff there, especially Curt's FindFlight for PP. It look up each plane and gives you the route etc. Its then kept on a local file on your PC...brilliant! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/planeplotter
Robbo Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 You got your maps from me nar mate.. the zip file was corrupted
Guest Glenn Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 That's me, always corrupting something
Robbo Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 Lost interest in plane plotter so just uninstalled it  I confuse myself #-o
Guest Chainsaw Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 After all that? Oh Robbo mate #-o Plane Plotter is so wonderful. Some patience in the setup and learning its functions is worthwhile. As far as maps are concerned, you can create any you want and calibrate them for accuracy. The maps can be ATC type or Satellite type showing the topography. The instructions are in the help and a tutorial is in the Yahoo group files. Jack, Nick and all, you should look into this Plane Plotter thingy. It picks up ADS-B signals from planes.
Robbo Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 I prefer to fix and fly them  Instead of watching little lines on the screen
Robbo Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 I think I want plane plotter again, im having withdrawls
Guest Glenn Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 You need something, but it's not PlanePlotter
Robbo Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 can plane plotter decode acars? If i hook the scanner in how can i get it to decode acars?
Robbo Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 Hmmm I see ACARS but not sure how to decode it :(
Uncle Chop Chop Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I still don't know how to use it. I would love to be able to see the flight going into and out of Melbourne but I just can't get my head around it. I know a bloke who might be able to set up an ACARS for Melbourne International Airport.
Guest Darren Masters Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 The best program for decoding ACARS is ACARSD. If you run ACARS through Plane Plotter when there is a valid position report received you will see your aircraft 'plot' on the map. As Robbo said someone is already feeding ADS-B and ACARS from YMML. Can you not see any traffic at all Chop? You should be able to see traffic going in and out of YMML via Plane Plotter. Have you paid for and registered it? You will need to configure it correctly in order for it to work too mate.
