Robbo Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 For the DC3 freaks http://www.airnostalgia.com.au/index.php?pr=Avalon_Airshow
Guest OzChris Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 ^ Ya gotta love the DC3! When I was a kid living in Adelaide there was (still might be) an old DC3 converted into part of a Mcdonalds - you can eat in it and the cockpit was still original and intact...really an awesome aircraft! I hate Mcdonads food (if you can call it that) but that made it taste soooo nice :]
Robbo Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 Hmmm there are some strange people here :)

DC449 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Yeah im going, i will be checking what day to go when the weather comes out, cant wait!!!
Guest dashleyjackson Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 So does anyone know what we can expect to see this year? I have read that there will be the F-22 & F-35 as well as a A380 & 787. However im not to sure on the 787 given that it hasn't even left the ground yet. See link, http://www.i-love-melbourne.com/australian-international-airshow.html
PlaneInsane Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Pity on the 787 - line up still seems good
DC449 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Hopefully the X-Team come back, although no jim leroy, but with skip
Guest Darren Masters Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I think there is still a good line-up. Stacks of people are bagging the airshow but I think it would be great to just be around these aircraft (that could be just me though).
Guest DanH Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I'll be there, Have a 2 day Gold Pass for Friday night and Sunday
Uncle Chop Chop Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I wish I could go but unfortuantly I have to commentate at the Speedway on the Friday and Saturday Nights.
Robbo Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 Go sunday chop... or I can sneak you in on the trade days if you be good. The speedway is at Avalon isnt it? Nothing stops you going during the days if speedway is at night :)
OzFlyGuy Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 This little black duck will be there too ! Possibly twice  Hopefully will get to fly in on a trade day, tho that's looking unlikely - uncertainty about which day to go and the need to book. But will also go on Sat or Sun - by car ! My mate who I normally go with is working in the Alice .. so not quite a short trip for him to make it :frown: so will be going it alone I suspect. One things for sure, been before, been last time, and intend to be there again!
