Robbo Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Just seen on the news that all Qantas A380 aircraft will be named after famous aviators and not citys. e.g Kingsford Smith, Reginal Ansett.............. 747 aircraft will slowly faze out of service from next year.
Guest Chainsaw Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Yea, the Classics (300's) first then maybe followed by the OJ's. I do hope they do a 'Wunala' on one of the A380's.
Guest Darren Masters Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I think they should start naming them after us aircraft enthusiasts
Robbo Posted September 30, 2008 Author Posted September 30, 2008 LOL I can just see an A380 going around with "Chainsaw" on it.... :) Oh God.......
Guest Chainsaw Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 You would surely have to start with: Shep
Robbo Posted September 30, 2008 Author Posted September 30, 2008 Shep? I am thinking of another website when that name is mentioned........
Guest Darren Masters Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Shep?I am thinking of another website when that name is mentioned........ Yes but Shep was well worthy of 'aircraft enthusiast' status.
Guest Chainsaw Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Shep is a legend in the spotting community. This world was a better place when he was with us. He is worthy...

Guest remiferna Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 it's a shame, all the classic 300's are being replaced by A330-200's.
Robbo Posted October 15, 2008 Author Posted October 15, 2008 The 747 is a joy to fly, it will be sadly missed.
