nzom_pilot Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Good move IMHO - so far I have resisted the move to Vista. One of my friends lost a lot of work and other stuff due to problems with vista - I believe he had to buy another laptop as well.
Guest g_i_jack029 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 theres not enough drivers out yet for it :|
Wombat Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 change my mind. I am buying a mac !!! Why not a quarter pounder or Mc chicken or just a large fries!!?? Its good going back to XP, at my work I do IT Support for, Im keeping all my workstations with XP. I have had several people at work ask me "when are we going to change to Vista?" and I sort of reply back "never"!! I read Windows 7 is coming out next year!
Robbo Posted October 11, 2008 Author Posted October 11, 2008 changed my mind again ! I am buying a new laptop on monday !!!! WINDOWS XP
PlaneInsane Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 No way, Your 2nd choice was the right choice. Mac FTW
Robbo Posted October 13, 2008 Author Posted October 13, 2008 I have now made the move back to XP jeez Microsoft like to put tracking cookies in !!! I installed the virus program and it picked up the webtrends tracking cookie and all that was done was a windows update!
Robbo Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 I miss vista :( Glad this laptop has recovery cd's for both xp and vista business. I might just go back to Vista !! Dunno yet !!
Todd M Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 So you hate Vista, yet you want to go back to it? The mind Boggles. Vista is a lovely cosmetic change over XP with a few new gadgets that make it look purdy, does not run as well but it is nicer to use than XP. I would have gone for the Mac, although I hate the layout their design and functions are top notch. And yes, Robbo, Microsoft love tracking cookies. Its good to see where people go and exactly what they do, then they can market items to people where they need it the most!
