Guest Darren Masters Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Folks, VP-BUE currently tracking to the East at FL 370 West of Bathurst and overflying Sydney shortly. Looks as though they are really working this bird.
Guest Glenn Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 I went out in hope that I could see it in the distance (100 k's away) but couldn't. Wishful thinking. Lucky I did as a rescue chopper flew directly over my place at 500ft heading to the airport. Unusual as it normally lands on the sports oval. Back to topic. VP-BUE looks like it's going to be a regular visitor
Guest Darren Masters Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Yeah Glenn. I missed it too due to cloud cover. Just got home from out West not long ago. Bugger this cloud! It followed me home from Katoomba onwards. If it was not here I would have got a good view of it. Oh well, she will be returning soon enough. Don't know if it will be a regular visitor mate just the fishing charters.
Guest Darren Masters Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 And it's on the way back now just about to overfly Sydney.
Guest Chainsaw Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 We are on UZI watch! Nice clear sky here today.
Guest Glenn Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Looked to be heading directly over your palce Chainy. I'm tracking it on Google Earth and I have your place pinned, but it has turned left slightly. Need it to keep turning left but we have very light cloud cover here
Guest Darren Masters Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Chainy, I hope you got a photo mate! It was way left of track over my place but that would have something to do with the Malaysian 777 MH130 (9M-MRF) that was same level and just infront. Other than that I got a good view this time!!!!:biggrin:
Guest Darren Masters Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Aaah nice  Just after I saw it too. Looked real good. Thanks for sharing mate! :thanks:
Guest Chainsaw Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I would have had it up earlier but for the flaky Sat connection at the moment. Another note about the photo, it was well south of the normal track. It was almost hidden in very high wispy cloud, so to get it was a miracle...oh yea plus I was on the phone to a customer and once again they asked what the clicking was LOL We are soooo addicted here at TAA *grin*
Guest Glenn Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Were you using your fish eye lens? Great shot
Robbo Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I would have had it up earlier but for the flaky Sat connection at the moment. Speaking of that mines going good now chainy
Guest Chainsaw Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Thats good Robbo :) No Glenn not a fisheye. It was taken at 420mm terrible haze too. Only Dazz has the official TAA Fisheye lens *wink*
