Hi All. New member - please be gentle! Bit of a casual "spotter". Reliving my childhood through my kids now... Have been reading posts for a little while and thought I would ask you very knowledgeable fellows if anyone caught the rego of this one in Sydney on Thursday a.m. Saw the tail parked at the terminal on my way to work. Didn't catch the rego or aircraft type.

Thanks!

Hi Pricey

Can not help you with the rego, if it was Melbourne I could easily find out. Just thought I would welcome you to the forum.

Gday Pricey,

Try this: 3B-NBE

I got that from http://www.16right.com/ ACARS section.

Welcome to TAA. We all look forward to your contributions mate :)

Will do. Thanks. Have checked out 16right and found the recommended spotting areas for Sydney. Do you know how I can find the same for Brisbane? The wife bought me return tickets to Brissy so I could do some spotting and was hoping to find good viewing areas where I could spend some hours...

It would seem that way.

How about a 'list' of flights / aircraft in and out of Sydney cargo terminal? I couldn't find cargo on 16right.com.

16 Right is a good site. If the aircraft transmits ACARS it will be on that list. 90% of planes do. Some do not. You will just have to check. That is about the most comprehensive list that I know of. If in doubt and there is a particular rego you are after just ask

Thank you Sir, will do.

I don't see any British Airways flights on that list - do they not transmit ACARS?

No unfortunately the BA flights do not come up. Have a look at getting a program called Plane Plotter at:

http://www.coaa.co.uk/planeplotter.htm

You pay $40 once off. It is the best thing I have ever purchased. Quite a few forum members have it. On there you can see the traffic (if ADS-B equipped) live. BA certainly do appear on there.

Working on the Missus about that one for a while now! Thanks for the info Darren. Cheers

Pricey, the following advice is important.

Giver her:

1. A full body massage.

2. Cups of tea.

3. Flowers.

4. Brush her hair.

5. Say nice things.

6. Do the washing up.

7. Make the dinner one night.

Now, put forward a business case for Plane Plotter, it's really worth the effort.

1. She knows I would enjoy that more than her.

2. I don't drink it , therefore don't make it.

3. She will definitely know I want something.

4. That's just a little creepy!

5. I always say nice things.

6. It's called a dishwasher.

7. I don't want to make her crook.

I might try "Chainsaw said so". She might think you're a bikie/ex-con or something.

Thanks for the advice anyway.

I'll let you know how I go...
