Todd M
When at work this morning I looked over and noticed a strange sight, a DC-9 at the RAAF Hanger! Before I then noticed, blended into the mountains, was a DC-10. When there was more light I took a closer look and noticed it to be a C-9 from the United States Navy and a KC-10 Extender, from the United States Air Force. The C-9 left while I was working, but I made sure I was out on the apron to watch her leave. The noise it created is why I love jets. It was a sound that made my stomach ripple and shudder from what it was producing. I am glad that in my lifetime I have now sighted a DC-9 in person, and in operation! The C-9 had 'USN 48' on the side, and on the tail a code of 'JT'. The KC-10 was still at the Airport when I left for home, however I have been informed it has since departed. All the exciting stuff happens when you don't have a camera!
