Guest Darren Masters Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Looks like DJ's VH-VBT is going and had its final revenue service yesterday. Now sitting at John Holland in YMML.
Guest Chainsaw Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Lease about up...time to move it on. Zac, don't know that....yet. I suspect VB prefer the 800's, so we may see more of the 700's go.
Uncle Chop Chop Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 :cray: I my memory serves me correctly she is the only Aircraft in the DJ Fleet that didn't have Winglets????????
Guest Glenn Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 I have a model here in my office, VH-VBA 700 with no winglets. Not sure what other 700's don't have them
Guest OzChris Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Its the 800's that have the winglets and the later 700's isnt it??
Guest Chainsaw Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 I think VB added winglets to some 700's a couple of 2 or 3 ago. I could be wrong though.
nzom_pilot Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Where is it going now? I have heard a rumour she is moving up the road a little bit, from DJ at Brisbane to SkyAirWorld in Cairns!
Guest EchoNovemberTango Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 SkyAirWorld... Not cairns though... Try staying in Brisbane Perhaps Perth
Guest Darren Masters Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Mostly the 800's (and I could be wrong) have the winglets. The leasor of this aircraft is: Registration holder as of 02 August 2005 OGYGIAN PTY LIMITED C/- Ge Commercial Aviation Services Ltd AVIATION HOUSE, SHANNON, CO CLARE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND I assume they will determine what happens to her from here on but the information provided by NZOM is interesting.
Guest Darren Masters Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 737-700 VH-VBP has winglets Well I told you I could be blood y well wrong
Zac M Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 VH-VBT is the only one without winglets. VBA-VBL, were retrofitted with them toward the end of 07 and some early model 800s had them fitted late 06 early 07.
nzom_pilot Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 SkyAirWorld...Not cairns though... Try staying in Brisbane Perhaps Perth Ahhh I was told it would be covering the CNS-POM route that the E145 currently does for ANG, and a few other top end-pacific/indonesian area routes from CNS and DRW, but you sound like you might be a bit closer to the action than I am , and my info was 2nd or 3rd hand by the time it got here!
Uncle Chop Chop Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Whats the word on New Arrivals? Any more B737's headed for the DJ Fleet?
nzom_pilot Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Whats the word on New Arrivals? Any more B737's headed for the DJ Fleet? Should be according to the Boeing website (below) they have ordered 45 and only recieved 28 so far.... not sure if this includes the 10 on Pacific Blues books or not, but there should be plenty arriving at some stage I have heard that they will be replacing the 737s 1 for 1 with the newer 738s, and then the rest will be additional. http://active.boeing.com/commercial/orders/index.cfm?content=userdefinedselection.cfm&pageid=m15527
Guest Darren Masters Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Apparently now in John Holland hangar with all paint stripped off.
