Guest g_i_jack029 Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 I'm just curious, is there a NOTAM or something that goes out when theres a disaster to stop people in the air coming in for a sticky beak and getting in the road of water bombers and spotters? Temporary flight restriction area? thanks, Jack
Robbo Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Jack when fire aircraft are working, its all under the control of the Fire Bird Helicopter with the air attack supervisor they co-ordinate aircraft from the air. They would be warned on ATC but AAS would try and get them outta there. Some idiot in a ultralight was flying over the fires near me the other day and they had the FireBird chase them out of the area.
