Guest bluex Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Belongs to NZAF methinks - One of their 2 757s was due back from refurb this week (from airliners.net NZ thread)
nzom_pilot Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Belongs to NZAF methinks -One of their 2 757s was due back from refurb this week (from airliners.net NZ thread) Definately not ours - NZ7572 was our one which arrived back at Whenuapai direct from the US on Wednesday Interesting this says "allegedly operated in support of US State Dept's Foreign Emergacy Support Team" - I had heard the US were sending over a team to help out at the Victoria bushfires, and this would certainly fit the bill
Guest Chainsaw Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 This particular plane has been seen and photographed in Germany quite a bit. You may be right nzom, but if that's not the case, we can only imagine what it's for...
Guest Darren Masters Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Reportedly the RNZAF 757 is now inbound YMML for the bushfires.
nzom_pilot Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Reportedly the RNZAF 757 is now inbound YMML for the bushfires. Almost correct NZ7571 is the RNZAF 757 inbound to MEL from AKL with the kiwi fire guys - NZ7572 is back in NZ but not yet operational as per [ame=http://theaussieaviator.net/showthread.php?t=24996]RNZAF 757 refitted but not yet ready - The Aussie Aviator.Net[/ame] I also recieved the report you refer to.
