Guest Darren Masters Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 All, here are some pics of Aerochuting at my parents farm last weekend. Thanks to Allison for taking the pics. Below: Cattle love Aerochutes! Below: Lift-off! Below: Checking out the valley. Below: Aerochute and the moon. Below: Touchdown. Watch out Blue Dog! Below: My kiddies in the Aerochute.
Guest Glenn Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Nice shots I like the one with the cows. A little to the right and the chute would've looked like it was coming out of the cow
tezza Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Great pics Darren Especially like the one with the moon in it. I love aerochutes too. I wish you could hire them! I did go for a trial flight with Steve Conte ( I think thats his name) who owns the aerochute company. A group of them used to fly out of a property in Werribee between Geelong and Melbourne and I would see them every Tuesday morning on the way to work. I couldnt help taking a little detour one day, and next thing, there I was hanging around at 500 ft watching the cows and feeling the breeze in my face. There is really something special about sitting out in the open like that seeing the world go by. Terry
Guest Darren Masters Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 They sure are nice to fly on Terry. It is the Conte's that manufacture the Aerochute. I can't take credit for the pics as I did not take them. A friend of mine did. There are some that I took during the weekend. Once I get my hands on them I will post the pics here.
Guest David C Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Loved the shots Darren , especially the one of those two beautiful pilots in training ... What a buzz .. Dave C
Robbo Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 The boy of your looks like he has got his dads face... Poor little kid
Guest Darren Masters Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Thanks Dave I actually sometimes hope they will keep away from aircraft  Robbo, he does unfortunately. Everyone tells me that. The other one is a spitting image of her mum.
Guest Darren Masters Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Here is one I took. Added to the gallery and submitting for photo of the month
Coop Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Be careful checking out valleys- they sometimes string powerlines across them!! Great pics! Regards Coop
Guest Darren Masters Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Be careful checking out valleys- they sometimes string powerlines across them!!Great pics! Regards Coop Indeed they do. I gave the pilot a thorough walk-through of all the powerlines in that area and we also maintained contact via radio to prevent any mishaps.
Guest David C Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Saw an aeroshute this morning just to the South of Campbelltown and tracking South following the F5 freeway it appeared ... Made a lovely sight , pity I was driving , otherwise I would have given the pilot a wave .. Dave C
