Virgin are doing cheap fares to Gold Coast.

 

Is it worth checking out? Is there much action?

Personally, I hate the Gold Coast. The last time I was there, there really wasn't much action (at the airport anyway)...rather quiet.

There is ALWAYS action on the GC... try and get some specials for the June long weekend because we are holding an informal fly-in at Heck Field - Jacobs Well that weekend. Allow Saturday for flying and Sunday/Monday for the rest of your holiday.

 

It happens first on the GC !

If you dont live in the "tourist" areas its a great place to live, except for the traffic from Victorians who visit (they cant drive)

That is sooo true! I complain to my wife about that all the time :rolleyes:

 

Yeah, i agree with Michael - I was mainly talking about YBCG :redface:

 

Of course there are better airfields (like Heck field) where there are 'REAL' planes :biggrin:

Its not really the Victorians fault, everything is so new and bigger than where they come from and sometimes i think they are just blinded by all the sunshine.

 

It's because they have a shadow in QLD that it causes their problems....
