Mattie Cribb Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 This morning around 7-8am VH-VQF JST403 departed OOL for SYD but For some reason did its normal Track for APAGI but then Turned East and went Back up the Coast Looked as if it was heading for YBBN(brisbane) but if it had a problem it would return to Cooly (you would think) but hmm anyone got any idears on what is was doing? Mattie
Mattie Cribb Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 Hmm its Very intresting but it landed into BNE didnt sound like it had any troubles so yeah Very Very Weird..
Guest Darren Masters Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 We usually use VQF here in NZ Mattie. Flew on it the other day. Don't know if this is significant.
Mattie Cribb Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 haha. But yeah it landed Into Brisbane its really weird that it would turn back to brisbane if it had a problem when Cooly was closer so i Wonder wonder wonder??
cavalier Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Just a thought but perhaps it was flying empty to Brisbane so it could be used on a flight to New Zealand
Guest Chainsaw Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Just a thought but perhaps it was flying empty to Brisbane so it could be used on a flight to New Zealand Yea maybe mate, but the Sydney Airport status said Cancelled, therefore a flight to YSSY was planned. Hey, Darren, do you know?
Mattie Cribb Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 Also to the theory of it going to brisbane becase it was empty its weird that they would send an empty aircraft to AGAGI which is the First Way point for most South Bound Flight its 40Nm to the West of the coast and to then turn it back to the coast and head north to BNE its just weird haha
Guest Chainsaw Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Alas, we may never know. Makes one most curious though.
Mattie Cribb Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 Hahah True True thats why im so keen to know...
nzom_pilot Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Its showing on balus.info as having operated JQ400 SYD-OOL (ARR) then JQ403 OOL-SYD (ENR) which obviously diverted to BNE, so this just adds to the intrigue and mystery.
