Chainy, I looked into so many options before I settled for this Vodafone USB stick. It is not pre-paid. You can't get pre-paid wireless modems here and when you do it is very very expensive. You better off using the computer at the hotel etc. Most of them have it. Either free or very cheap. I am paying $69/mth for this 3 gig I am on but advantage is I can take it all over NZ. There may be pre-paid dial-up (probably quite slow). I did not even bother looking into it. Now, there are various pre-paid wireless hotspots where you enter your credit card no etc. That may work for you. Please send me your travel plans. I may be down there myself depending on the roster now becoming CSM the time off will be sparse. Let me know because I would absolutely love to catch you both

Thanks mate for the response,

Wont be staying in a hotel, will have a motor home. I will need internet access on the road for the business. Roaming on Telstra for the mobile look very expensive, so am looking at using Skype.

Thing is, I only need it for a week. Any suggestions welcome.

Looks like Vodphone may be the best way to go. I'll give Voda Aust a call.

Next will be to work out the phone. We use Telstra NextG due to it's good coverage here in the country.
