Zordah Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I'm looking for a school/organisation to learn to fly with in the Brisbane area and wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I don't particularly want to travel all the way to Boonah or Gold Coast. Only ones I can find are RQAC and Gill Layt's.
Guest CptQld Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Try Flight Training Australia - they're at Archerfield. Heard they've really lifted their game lately. Good luck!
Scottw Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Flight One is another flight school i am aware of and they also operate out of Archerfield they conduct their flight training in a Whitney Boomerang for something different. Or if you live on the more northern side of Brisbane you could try the Aero Club at Redcliffe I have heard positive reports with those guys. Scottw
Zordah Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 OK thanks, that's given me a few extra leads to follow up on :)
edfathead Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I Fly At Gill Layts, it was the most affordable option at Archerfield and I'm loving it and learning alot.
mnewbery Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I have posted here about Redcliffe Aero Club before. Thumbs up. Plus there is another school at Redcliffe Aerodrome (YRED) I don't know about. At the same aerodrome is Bob Tait's Aviation Theory School. Both the Aeroclub and the other school have Tecnams but my fave is still the C172
dacman767 Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I've heard good things about redcliffe aero club and Gerry Dick (avalon air services). I would stay well away from Redcliffe Flight Training, a lot of unhappy customers from that camp!
