Guest aviatrix27
G'day everyone. Just letting you know the skies of America are no longer safe - we picked up our US pilot licences today. The trip's going well so far, will report more in a week or 2.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
Guest Glenn
Did you have to go through much red tape to get your US licences? What will you be flying?
Guest aviatrix27
Not a lot of red tape after we arrived here, but a few months ago we started the process - it's a bit tedious. No cost at this end, but CASA charged us $50 each to send a ltter to the FAA verifying our licences. The FAA man was impressed with how ready we were. We don't really mind what we fly, just as long as an N number gets recorded in our log books.

Guest aviatrix27
G'day again Right now we're in Oshkosh and are nearly all airshowed out. I haven't had much of a chance to be on line lately, but I do have an N reg in my logbook now. At Dayton, one of our AYA friends took us up in his Grumman Tiger, so hubby and I each logged 0.4 hr in N18AP. Still can't get the silly grin off my face  Got to go - more later.
