mrchavez
I'm looking to get back into Flying after a 5 year break. As expected my chart reading ability is a bit rusty... So my first question is........ Does the Redcliffe Aerodrome have a dedicated Training area or is Training undertaken in the following "Danger" Zones: D629A SFC-1500 D629B SFC-2500 D629C SFC-3500 Thanks in advance
sixtiesrelic
Training is done in the danger areas. A triangle Red to Cal and Glasshouse mountains. I think there is an area up a bit higher as well.
mrchavez
Thanks for the reply Unfortunately I have two other quick questions... Where can I find information on the individual Danger Areas purpose? Is there a list published with all the zones and their meanings? I've searched the CASA website without success. From memory some Zones are always active (Low Level Military aircraft / Skydiving) and others are placed online via NOTAMS. Does this sound correct? Thanks in advance
Guest David C
All information regarding zones ( P, R, and D ) is detailed in the ERSA . For example , a D ( danger) zone has its ident , height limits , hours of operation , authority and the activity of the zone detailed . The activation hours are all detailed , and you are correct , some are active by Notam . Hope this helps . Dave C
