Cable Cutting Tool

Hi Sportsfans,

 

Need some advice here for something that should be pathetically simple.

 

I just need a set of cable cutting shears. I had a set once that would go through 3/16' like butter and cleanly cut off old thimble loops - but they were stolen by someone who apparently needed them more than I.

 

Living in the country makes this a challenge for suppliers that I have not been able to crack yet and I have an aircraft on the ground. I can fix that OK but I like to do jobs properly.

 

So any ideas on what to buy, brand names, where to get them etc etc?

Decca gazzumped everyone by getting on the phone and he is posting to me tomorrow a spare set of shears. So drama over. Many thanks Decca and let us talk more about your potential visit here where you will be whipped, starved, given a mattress on the floor - and all the rest of the good things in life as you learn about the lower end of aviation to go with your already considerable achievments:thumb_up:

 

You may even get some free flying (if you are especially good) even if it is in a Glasshouse - depends on where I am up to ;)
