john roe Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Due to constant weather patterns changing, normally might see Qantas Fl64, (JNB-SYD-JNB) B744, from JNB-SYD cross WA soil a few times in a year, but today, never seen by me before of Both Fl64 VH-OJH and Fl63 VH-OEG, both crossed lower WA today, see on the High Flyers Log for Data. cheers john

Uncle Chop Chop Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Would the Ash Cloud have something to do with this?
john roe Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 Would the Ash Cloud have something to do with this? Initially, some days back, no, was a coincidence, happens a few times a year depending on prevailing tail winds, that QF63/4 crossed land same day, but the last few days, QF64 has been going Jnb-Syd on one tank with good tail winds, where I dont know, QF63 is playing cat and mouse with the ash clouds, and now forcast to close down Perth along with Darwin, QF63 has fuel from Syd to Per and then look at the ash issue ans weather, and the flight path and take on more fuel, as they are flying low, thus using up more fuel, so roughly thats the pic. cheers john
