ben170292 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Just wondering if anyone buys aviation magazines? Could you suggest a good one? Thanks
Guest OzChris Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 my faves are: Australian Flying Avatiator Flightpath
dazza 38 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Hi Ben, I buy Aviator, and Australian Aviation (mainly for the heavier metal) and Flightpath. Edit- Added after reading Dexters post below. Oh year I receive SportPilot in the mail as well as Dexter.
Guest DWB Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I buy Pacific Flyer &receive Sport Pilot from RAAus plus receive AOPA's magazine
Guest BlackRod Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I had a 12 months subscription to Pacific Flyer but did not renew it. Too light weight, fluffy, lacking substance, if you know what I mean. There are some great and free online Mags like the UK's http://www.av8magazine.com/index.php You need to register but it is 100 pages of good stuff.
Guest JabJockey Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Sport Pilot as part of RA-Aus Membership, Flying (US), EAA Sport Aviation (join up and become a member, cheap). Why not head to your local newsagent and buy a range of different magazines for a couple of months until you find one or some you like? Or, head to your local flying school, if you have one, and see if they have some mags you can borrow.
