Wayne T Mathews Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I know what you mean Dexter, I've finnally received the parts I need to fix a blokes aircraft that is hangared at the North end of Lake Keepit. But I can't get there. Never mind. It'll be better tomorrow.
Guest ozzie Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 hell ya got a good collection of powerlines there Dexter.
Spin Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Time to work on the world's first float equipped Zephyr! We sure do live in the land of extremes, you're soggy as, whereas on the otherside of the continent I have friends in harm's way near Margaret River.
HeadInTheClouds Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Bit wet here at the moment too. Still going flying tomorrow, even though it will be in the back of a 737 ;)
Guest DavidH10 Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Today is a no fly day here too. Got the occasional thunder storm passing through; Each one with its own gust front. The TCUs look very majestic with sun on them in between the storms. We still don't need water wings though Dex!
metalman Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 no flying for me either ,was putting time in to a Eurofox, but it would need floats to use YLIL today.
dazza 38 Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 THe weather has been terrible on the Gold Coast for the last 2 months. Not much rain around, but it has been windy day in day out.
Guest ozzie Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Luskintyre Chistmas party spoiled by water logged strip. Looks like it will be closed for two weeks.
cficare Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 been falling all around for 24 hours now...taking the snorkel to bed....just in case!
Ignition Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Was a little rainy in the morning today with a nice thick fog, but then cleared up around lunch time for a nice 30 degree blue sky hot day here on the south coast...
Old Koreelah Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Time to plant rice, Dex! I flew to YWCK last weekend and had toyed with the idea of staying a day or two extra to wait out the windy weather before coming home. Sure glad I chose to vamoose quick smart! I would have been stuck there still; the overnight bag would not have coped with a week or more away. What kit do others carry for such a contingency?
Guest Darren Masters Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Been shockingly windy here for the last week too and yesterday, well a nice stat high of 1027 so you know what I did :D Literally pulled the cobwebs off and went flying! Looks good mid-week here too so I'll be doing the same again :)
