Spin Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/queensland/plane-makes-emergency-school-landing-20111227-1pb36.html Spotted the story above, on the net. Great outcome! I don't imagine the beaches were too inviting, given the very high tides and storm surf which has resulted in bathing being banned all along the SEQ coastline. I know here on the Gold Coast there are metre plus scarps carved into the sand.
Guest Michael Coates Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Great news! Good to see that another vintage plane has survived unscathed.... I hate seeing the old ones all torn up never to fly again. Well done anonymous pilot!
dazza 38 Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Its funny, I would think that somebody that didnt know anything about Aviation.Would still know what a Tiger Moth looked like.I guess calling it a bi plane, means that he couldnt get it wrong.
