red750 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 News sources are reporting a helicopter crash near Mangalore this morning in which two people are reported to have been killed. Other details are not yet available.

From memory they have a dozen R22's online up there plus a few others, so it could be anyone of those or a private one.

It is believed engine problems brought down the plane at 2:00pm today, near Iron Knob Road. It caught fire on impact, causing a small grass fire. Fire crews say the pilot, who was the sole occupant of the plane, was shaken but unhurt.
