I'm heading there in JUL. I'm keen on any 'aviation' related activities. Already sussed out the seaplane bear tours but has anyone else been? Can you recommend something? Does not just have to be aviation-related :)

Do a bush pilot flying school, best 5 hours in your life in a super cub with big wheels... $1,000 course

Sounds good but geez mate, I'm only a flight attendant. The bear tour is already $750 LOL.

Any other ideas?

Before you go, watch the series of Flying Wild Alaska and then visit Era Alaska airlines.

It would be a good chance to see a few old classics if you'e in the right place. I think there's still some C-119 Flying Boxcar's getting around Alaska somewhere. Everts Air Cargo/Air Fuel out of Fairbanks operate a few DC-6's & a couple of Curtiss Commandos, flying into Anchorage at times. There would be others around, I'd guess.

Cheers, Willie.

P.S. don't trust the bears.
