Brilliant website. My AVG did not come up with anything? Might be because there are some ads on there Siz? Anyway, I love contrails and love overflying aircraft that are heading to another city. Fantastic! :)

I'm a contrail fanatic too .. Saw some really good ones last week whilst driving into work around 0630 . One of note was the QF94 LAX-MEL trailing at FL400 , first seen over 200 Km distant just abeam Newcastle , I was near Picton at he time ! .. Great stuff . Having spent most of my life in Europe , I was in contrail heaven most of the time , well on the rare clear days anyway ..The sight of an aircraft trailing below your level is a sight to behold too ... Happy contrail spotting one and all ...

AVG's telling me it's (among other things) a phishing site. You'll like the next one, no doubt...over the Gobi Desert (Dessert...;))

I got a warning on that site from my AVG protection

I'm guessing you might have the AVG payware suite, Siz, with the firewall protection as well. Maybe Darren might have the freeware stand alone anti-virus. I've never had a problem with the site, but I'm running different programmes, Avira anti-virus, Outpost firewall & Firefox as a browser, also spyware blaster which prevents spyware from installing.

It could be a false positive, which is common. I installed a Fuji Xerox printer last week & the firewall was trying to tell me it was suspicious. It could possibly be right, HP got into a lot of trouble with customers a couple of years ago when they found out HP printers were dialling home to a database of all their printer activities. Maybe Fuji does it too, but I'd tend to think mine is a false positive.

Another possibility is that the site has tracking cookies, also very common nowdays.

AVG has been around a long time, it's unlikely they would purposely have false positives like the dodgy brands do. The less scrupulous products throw up false positives so customers think they are getting their money's worth, they pretent to block stuff that doesn't exist. I'd really doubt AVG would do that, considering the amount of time they've been around. The only time they've soiled their reputation was a couple of years ago with their freeware AV.

I've also got flashblock, so I might turn flash back on & see what the website does.

Cheers, Willie.

Just as an update, I re-enabled flash & had no problems with the site, so I guess it's not flash related.

VQS overfly ... beautiful! Now back to work, Darren...:p

My AGV is the free version ... I'm too tight-a***d to pay for anything more than a self-funded retiree absolutely has to!

And here's a cracker... yeah, I realise it's not a contrail, but so?
