CS 77 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Hi All, Wondering what people with iPads are using for flight navigation? Looking at trialing Runway HD, has anyone tried it? Thanks.
mnewbery Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 If you are doing iPad or iPhone, I think trialling everything you can lay your hands on would be a good start. I spent a good chunk of yesterday and today planning with and flying with OzRunways. Happy.
CS 77 Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 Just hoping to see if others had maybe got a short list, will look into OzRunways though.
CS 77 Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 Finding OzRunways quite slow on my iPad 1, what hardware are you running it on? Probably going to look at Runway HD, OZRunways & AvPlan.
Guest Michael Coates Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 OzRunways.... 10/10 and the developer is on this site also.... it is gone from a simple navigation program into a sophisticated suite and now takes a little bit of time to learn how to use everything. If you can I would suggest attending one of their courses which are held on a regular basis around Australia, this will give you a really good kickstart on how the program operates and how to use it efficiently.
Guest avi8tr Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 CS77, I assume you are the same person that's spamming PPrune about this product too?
CS 77 Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 Yes, I visit various forums and feel free to post in them, well thanks for the advice guys, I'll get a look at OzRunways.
