winsor68 Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 The aircraft in the photo appears to have a tailwheel... Not sure it is a C182.
Guest DWB Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 A poster on Pprune says it was a 182A with tailwheel modification. Do they do this to them? Definitely on the Register as a 182A
TAA Student Pilot Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 A popular conversion, there are quite a few in this country.
mnewbery Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 Here is an image from a different angle http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-12-17/authorities-investigate-fatal-light-plane-crash/4431722
winsor68 Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Not a very complimentary description of the Pilots actions in this crash... I won't call it an accident because it wasn't if the press report and the grape vine is any indication. This is more tragic for those poor kids who witnessed this IMO.
