Guest Howard Hughes Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-12-08/nt-airline-grounded-over-safety-concerns/4416704?section=nt Darwin based Hardy Aviation has been grounded by CASA. I must say I am very surprised, when I was in Darwin, Hardy's always seemed like one of the better places to work, let's hope they get back in the air soon!
Head in the clouds Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Yes I'm surprised too, my experiences with Hardy were very favourable, at times we used to charter them to support our helicopter operations. I had mixed experiences up there with the Dept of name changes, usually very good but if someone was irked they seemed to be able to act more autonomously than in the 'big smoke'. You could find yourself grounded without warning, or any prior opportunity to address their perceived issues.
ben87r Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Heard yesterday that these guys had given up their appeal to CASA to get the AOC back. Not good for the north..
