yampy Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Thanks for posting ... Great stuff ... Bought back memories of the " Red Pelican " RAF display team all those years ago , too many years to think of now .. I was a Duxford 2 years ago ... A must visit place for any aviation buffs .
Yenn Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Definitely Duxford is a must see, even my wife enjoyed it. They had a short flight by a spitfire when i was there, about 4 circuits, all un announced and low key. Not too far away is Old Warden. A private collection in about 6 hangars, they have the original de Haviland comet there, that won the England australia air race. I saw the other day that it is nearly ready to fly again. they also have a workshop there maintaining the collection and also local privately owned planes.
planedriver Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Definitely Duxford As I get older I see all these places that I used to frequent, but now can't think where they are! Hope it's not just me?
