phantomphixer Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 He’d have needed to punch off the external stores just to stay airborne. We used to say that they needed the curvature of the earth to get airborne on a hot day when armed.

In Oman, one of the RAF QFIs told me once when Jags arrived at another unit for an exercise, the next morning, the Jag boys saw each aircraft had a little bowl of milk put out in front of it! 1
