farri Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 I don`t know anymore than what is reported here! https://www.cairnspost.com.au/news/cairns/man-walks-away-after-plane-crash-landing-in-ingham/news-story/f49df181e707289baf752c93e062165c 1
onetrack Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Well, as the saying goes - any crash you can walk away from, is a good one! What better place to crash, than an airstrip?! A later report says he flipped it, and the aircraft also caught fire? He's a lucky lad, then. 1

They say that a good landing is one that you can walk away from, but that a GREAT landing is one where the Flying Appliance is re-useable. . . 1
facthunter Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Whatever ERA those sayings belong to they are irrelevant to NOW where we OWN our planes. A "great" landing is when no one knows when you actually touched down. except IF the runway has a lot of water on it , where you will aquaplane and/or burn a big flat on the tyre(s) so a squeeky landing is not aimed for .
