GammaRays Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Hello fellow Aviation lovers and pilots! I’m just a regular sky-high adventure enthusiast, and for me, that even permeates my day-to-day life where I find the high points :P If you hold an interest in aviation history and figures of the past, I recently wrote a story on Guy Menzies - whom was the first to fly the Trans-Tasman solo in 1931: Guy Menzies: A Rebel at Heart. 1-2 minute read The story is drawn from the unique Aviation collection material held at the National Library of Australia. The bike is AJS powered probably a 1929 500 OHC motor in a Martin frame and special forks It's certainly not a cobbled up homebuilt special and a more state of the art machine of the time Speedway was just getting going in the late 20's. (The sideways style on cinders. from the BHP blast furnace at Newcastle). Nev
